Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Women from various social strata of Cunene province, have participated since Thursday, in a training seminar on techniques for processing agricultural products, promoted by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs of Angola (FMEA).<\/b><\/p>\n

In partnership with the National Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), the training aims to teach women to recycle and learn to process agricultural products.<\/p>\n

During three days, the trainees will discuss topics on agro-processing, management and formalization of cooperatives, in order to improve performance, skills and business management.<\/p>\n

At the opening, the FMEA secretary, Henriqueta Carvalho, highlighted the importance of training the various social strata of the female layer, in order to take advantage of products from the field, which often spoil due to lack of conservation or even transformation.<\/p>\n

He said it is an extensive project across the country, which will also benefit young people, so that they can transform the products into small businesses and from there be able to sell and increase economic power and improve the living conditions of families in the communities.<\/p>\n

He made it known that the training, divided into practical and theoretical classes, encompasses cooperativism, allowing the creation of small transformation cooperatives and cottage industries, aimed at creating family income and jobs, towards the fight against poverty.<\/p>\n

Created in 2001, the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs of Angola (FMEA) has more than 3 thousand members distributed in 18 provincial associations.<\/p>\n
