Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan government estimates that more than 400,000 citizens abroad will be able to update their unofficial electoral register until the end of the campaign, according to the National Director of the Unofficial Electoral Registry, Fernando Paix\u00e3o Manuel.<\/b><\/p>\n

The official, who was speaking to the press yesterday, on behalf of the Minister of Territory Administration, Marcy Lopes, at Cefojor, at a “clarification meeting on the Official Electoral Registration” addressed to journalists, clarified that, of the more than 400,000 Angolans expected to registration abroad, 4,303 have already updated data in 26 diplomatic missions, distributed in 12 countries.<\/p>\n

The diplomatic mission in Portugal leads the indicators, with 1,528 citizens with updated data, followed by Namibia, with 707, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with 548. Of the referred indicator, 47 percent of Angolan citizens are in the African continent, 26% in Europe, 16% in Asia and Oceania, America has 11 percent of the total.<\/p>\n

To materialize this goal in the 76 diplomatic representations, distributed in 26 countries, the Angolan Government will make available 129 kits, which include a state-of-the-art tablet, software, communication system and accessories to register citizens even in the most remote areas.<\/p>\n
