Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The debates held during the Magna Conference, framed in the 15 years of the institutionalization of the Constitutional Court (TC), the appointments of the president of the Court of Auditors and the governor of the National Bank of Angola, dominated the political news released in the last seven days.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Conference brought together, in the Angolan capital, national and foreign specialists who analyzed themes related to the Constitutional Court, from the reasons that dictated its institutionalization to the guarantee mechanisms of the Constitution of the Republic.<\/p>\n

At the opening of the event, the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, stated that the institutionalization of the TC was decisive for the strengthening of the Democratic State based on the rule of law in Angola.<\/p>\n

Still on the TC, it was announced that the institution has assessed, since its creation in 2008, until the present date, a total of one thousand and 79 judicial proceedings, of which one thousand and 12 have been concluded and 67 are in progress 67.<\/p>\n

Also in the field of justice, Judge Sebastia\u0303o Domingos Gunza took over the Court of Auditors, after being appointed by President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of appointments, Manuel Anto\u0301nio Tiago Dias became the new governor of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), replacing Jose\u0301 de Lima Massano.<\/p>\n

Under the terms of the Constitution of the Republic, the governor of the BNA is appointed by the President of the Republic, after hearing in the National Assembly.<\/p>\n

No decurso da semana, a Provedoria de Justic\u0327a informou que intervencionou, no ano de 2022, 4 424 (quatro mil e quatrocentos e vinte e quatro) queixas de natureza juri\u0301dico legal, judicia\u0301ria e penitencia\u0301ria, das quais 1 013 (mil e treze) foram atendidas.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o foi distinguido com um livro intitulado “A Arte de Salvar Vida”, como reconhecimento do seu esforc\u0327o no combate a\u0300 pandemia da Covid-19.<\/p>\n
