Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The provincial secretary of UNITA, Mardane\u0302s Calunga, called sunday, in the municipality of Cangandala, the militants of the Angolan Women’s League (LIMA) to become more engaged in emancipation, to reinforce their insertion in political, social and economic life from the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the provincial act alluding to the 51st anniversary of LIMA, which is celebrated yesterday, the politician pointed out the fight against violence against women as a challenge that militants must embrace, in order to avoid physical and psychological trauma to women.<\/p>\n

Mardane\u0302s Calunga appealed to the population to supervise the execution of the General State Budget (OGE), in order to guarantee the strict application of funds in actions that impact on the lives of families.<\/p>\n

He reiterated the need to implement Local Authorities, with a view to granting autonomy to municipalities and decision-making power to the population.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the provincial president of LIMA, Rita Mateus Ju\u0301nior highlighted the organization’s participation in various sectors of life in the country and reaffirmed the continuous contribution to the maturation of the country’s democracy.<\/p>\n

He encouraged mutual respect among Angolans and the involvement of all in tasks aimed at cementing peace, freedom, social justice and patriotism.<\/p>\n

The provincial allusive to the 51 years of LIMA took place under the motto \u201c51 years for the appreciation, empowerment and defense of democracy\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Angolan Women’s League was founded on June 18, 1972 on the banks of the Kutaho River, Massivi, in the province of Moxico.<\/p>\n
