Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The National Roads Institute of Angola (INEA) has recovered, in the last three years, 416 kilometers of national roads in the interior of Benguela province.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the director of INEA in Benguela, Domingos Cipriano, these are the EN-100, 260 and 105, which comprise the sections Catengue\/Ganda, Catengue\/Chongoroi, and Culango\/Balombo\/Alto-Hama.<\/p>\n

The official also said that these interventions are part of the Road Salvation Programme, which began in 2019 with the involvement of four companies, especially in the “fill-in” process.<\/p>\n

Exemplificou que antes dos trabalhos de recuperac\u0327a\u0303o, os automobilistas levavam quatro horas de viagem para atingir o munici\u0301pio da Ganda, por conta do mau estado da via na altura, coisa que hoje se faz em cerca de metade do tempo.<\/p>\n

He also pointed out the section that connects the commune of Culango\/Bocoio\/Balombo, which has been satisfactorily improved, while studies are being carried out to further improve these interventions.<\/p>\n

The aim of the work was to fill the bases of the joint with bituminous concrete, cuts in the pavement to reduce the impact on the bridge deck, in order to avoid discomfort for motorists due to the unevenness in the deck.<\/p>\n

Quanto a iluminac\u0327a\u0303o na ponte, Domingos Cipriano disse que ha\u0301 necessidade de se substituir alguns componentes, situac\u0327a\u0303o que ja\u0301 e\u0301 do conhecimento do Governo Provincial de Benguela.<\/p>\n

Questionado sobre o estado de conservac\u0327a\u0303o da antiga ponte (meta\u0301lica), reconheceu que deve ser melhorada a malha e a limpeza da mesma, dai\u0301 as restric\u0327o\u0303es na circulac\u0327a\u0303o de viaturas pesadas.<\/p>\n

He added, on the other hand, that INEA carried out in the last two years the inauguration of two fundamental bridges for car circulation between the provinces of Benguela and Hui\u0301la, namely Cutembo and Calualua.<\/p>\n

Domingos Cipriano took the opportunity to appeal to society to conserve the means and public goods at its disposal.<\/p>\n
