Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, left Luanda, this Thursday, for the city of Ui\u0301ge, province of the same name, for a two-day working visit to that region.<\/b><\/p>\n

At the Luanda Military Air Base, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o received farewell greetings from the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa, and members of the Executive.<\/p>\n

According to the visit programme, in Ui\u0301ge Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o will lead a meeting of the Local Governance Council, with the participation of the governors of the country’s 18 provinces and heads of ministerial departments.<\/p>\n

The meeting will take place in two sessions, the first on Thursday afternoon and the second on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

The Local Governance Council is the collegiate auxiliary body of the President of the Republic in the formulation and follow-up of the execution of the governance policies of the State Administration at local level.<\/p>\n

The agenda of the President of the Republic in Ui\u0301ge also includes a meeting with local authorities and a visit to the Agricultural Fair, which will showcase the region’s potential in this economic field.<\/p>\n

The Head of State returns to the country’s capital on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
