Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Three thousand and sixteen different crimes were registered, from June 2022 to May this year, in Bengo province, said friday, in Caxito, the provincial delegate for the Interior, commissioner Delfim Kalulu Ina\u0301cio.<\/b><\/p>\n

In this period, 160 people died, 1,006 others were seriously injured as a result of 713 road accidents and 2,247 crimes were solved, said the senior official of the national police, without providing any comparative data, in the provincial act alluding to the day of the Ministry of the Interior, which yesterday marks .<\/p>\n

Accidents are linked to collisions between motor vehicles, against fixed obstacles, collisions between vehicles and motorcycles, rollovers and skidding.<\/p>\n

Excessive speed, lack of public lighting on some roads, the poor state of some roads and recklessness on the part of some drivers are identified as the main causes of accidents.<\/p>\n

The municipality of Dande recorded a total of 2,201 crimes.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the act, Bengo’s deputy provincial governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector, Jose\u0301 Bartolomeu, was concerned about the number of crimes registered, as they have left families in mourning and many physically handicapped.<\/p>\n

He appealed for the continued commitment of Minint\/Bengo bodies to their work, with discipline, humanism and a patriotic sense, in order to achieve positive results in preventing, combating crime and other evils that affect society.<\/p>\n

The event was witnessed by members of the provincial government, Minint, the Angolan armed forces, traditional authorities, religious entities and civil society.<\/p>\n
