Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Republic of Angola will observe the presidential elections in Sierra Leone, scheduled for Saturday (24), where 3.37 million voters are expected.<\/b><\/p>\n

Deputy Manuel Augusto, who also represents the Pan African Parliament (PAP), is in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, as part of the National Assembly (AN) of Angola.<\/p>\n

After 11 years of civil war (which ended in 2002), Sierra Leone is preparing for its fifth presidential election.<\/p>\n

Voters in this West African country will also elect Members of Parliament and other local representatives.<\/p>\n

According to local analysts, this democratic exercise will be very close between the two main candidates, the current President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, who is running for his own succession, and the current opposition leader of the People’s Congress Party ( APC), Samura Kamara.<\/p>\n

In addition to the two main competitors, the ballot includes 11 more competitors.<\/p>\n
