Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Cape Verdean Minister for Communities, Jorge Pedro Mauri\u0301cio Santos, arrived in Angola this Tuesday to reinforce cooperation between the two countries in a wide range of areas.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the Charge\u0301 d’Affaires at the Cape Verdean Embassy in Luanda, Fernanda Fernandes, during the visit, from the 27th of this month to the 3rd of July, the official will take the opportunity to assess bilateral cooperation and reinforce it, according to interest. of compatriots in Angolan territory.<\/p>\n

Jorge Santos also plans to present the newly created Presidential Decree that offers, free of charge, the nationality of citizens of the archipelago to migrants and descendants in Africa.<\/p>\n

During his mission in the country, he said, the Cape Verdean official will meet with official Angolan entities, with meetings planned on Wednesday morning with the first vice-president of the National Assembly, Ame\u0301rico Cuononoca, and with the minister from the Interior, Euge\u0301nio Laborinho.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Jorge Pedro Mauri\u0301cio Santos meets with the governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem, before heading to Benguela on Saturday, where he will be received by the local governor, Lui\u0301s da Fonseca Nunes, participating after a fraternization with the “creole community ” in that province.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the penultimate day of the visit, he participates in a mass at Paro\u0301quia do Sa\u0303o Paulo, Sambizanga, in Luanda, together with Cape Verdeans and descendants, as well as in the 2nd edition of the \u201cFeira das Ilhas\u201d, also in the country\u2019s capital, with a view to promote the friendship, culture, gastronomy and other habits and customs of the people of the Cape Verdean islands.<\/p>\n
