Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Bengo’s Water and Sanitation Master Plan until 2040, which aims to rehabilitate, reinforce and build new infrastructures, was presented, in Caxito, to the provincial government, by the company A\u0301gua Portugal Internacional.<\/b><\/p>\n

With an implementation period of 19 years (2021\/2040), the purpose of presenting the document was to collect contributions for its improvement.<\/p>\n

Expected to be implemented in three phases (2021\/2040), the plan is an instrument for planning the works to be carried out, whether for rehabilitation and reinforcement or for the construction of new infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The first (emerging phase) will guarantee the continuity of services in the existing systems, the second (until 2030) will serve to respond to the objectives to be achieved, while the third will run until 2040.<\/p>\n

The plan contemplates increasing the level of service to the population, in the six municipalities, with supply and sanitation systems adjusted to the current demographic situation.<\/p>\n

Presented during a workshop, led by the provincial deputy governor for the political, social and economic sector, Jose\u0301 Francisco Pedro, the document is an initiative of the Ministry of Energy and Water that aims to define the objectives to be achieved in relation to water supply and sanitation of waste water in urban and peri-urban areas where EPAS\/Bengo intervenes.<\/p>\n

In the presentation, the representative of the A\u0301gua de Portugal Internacional company, Andre\u0301 Pinto, said that the master plan consists of a technical and economic document of development policy for management (a guide for the future).<\/p>\n

The provincial deputy governor of Bengo, Jose\u0301 Bartolomeu Pedro, pointed out the peripheral neighborhoods of Ac\u0327ucareira, Sassa Ca\u0301ria and the communes of Quicabo, U\u0301cua, Barra do Dande and Mabubas as the main areas of the province that are still struggling with the problem of electricity supply. potable water.<\/p>\n
