Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Cape Verdean Minister for Communities, Jorge Mauri\u0301cio dos Santos, stressed Wednesday, in Luanda, the need to strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship between the peoples of his country and Angola.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Cape Verdean official was speaking at the end of an audience with the acting president of the National Assembly, Ame\u0301rico Cuononoca, during which they addressed, among others, aspects related to the community of this archipelago in Angola, as well as the possibilities of boosting investment by citizens in both territories.<\/p>\n

The interlocutors also spoke about local authorities, without, however, going into great detail, according to Jorge dos Santos, for whom this is a process whose implementation is being discussed at the level of the National Assembly (AN), in which his country may come to contribute, within the framework of cooperation, since it already has 32 years of experience.<\/p>\n

As for the relationship between peoples, he said that his country has been creating a set of incentives and facilities to attract investment in various areas, in order to allow the participation and consolidation of Cape Verdeans in the diaspora in this process in the host countries. and vice versa.<\/p>\n

He pointed, above all, to the areas of tourism, transport, culture, agriculture, fisheries, sports and technology, having considered that there is a good relationship between the people and that more and more Angolans are investing in Cape Verde, which, in his opinion, should be consolidated .<\/p>\n

\u201cCape Verdeans are well integrated in Angola, from Cabinda to Cunene, and society welcomes them in such a way\u201d, he said, explaining that the visit aimed, among other things, to present a program based on the process of acquiring nationality by origin, by communities, and mapping and census of the Cape Verdean diaspora.<\/p>\n

According to Jorge dos Santos, official data indicate that there is a community close to 110,000 Cape Verdeans in Angola.<\/p>\n
