Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The musicians Carlos Lamartine and Calabeto are the poster for the 4th edition of the concert “Trajectory”, which takes place this Friday at the Iron Palace, in Luanda.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Trajectory Project aims at valuing the artist as a cultural entity and an active agent in the construction of collective memory.<\/p>\n

According to the director of the institution, Joa\u0303o Viga\u0301rio, this initiative is one of the ways found to give back, exalt the persistence and legacy of the generation that gave more than 20 years of career.<\/p>\n

With a monthly periodicity, it foresees for the 5th edition the presence of the musicians Voto Gonc\u0327alves and Patri\u0301cia Faria and in the 6th season the presentation of Pedro Cabenha and Lula da Paixa\u0303o.<\/p>\n

Lamartine<\/p>\n

Carlos Lamartine was born in Benguela on March 29, 1943, but it was in Marc\u0327al, in Luanda, where he took his first musical steps.<\/p>\n

He was principal conductor of the Grupo Coral Gigante in the Act of Proclamation of the Independence of Angola, on November 11, 1975, and of the Choir in the Act of Inauguration of the 1st Government of the People’s Republic of Angola, which took place in the Municipality of Luanda .<\/p>\n

He recorded his first single in 1970, with the label \u201cNgola\u201d, an album that includes the songs \u201cBazooka\u201d and \u201cJesus diala\u0301 ua\u0301 kidi\u201d. In 1974, the LP \u201cAngola ano 1\u201d appeared, a discographic monument of political song. After a long period of discographic silence, about 23 years, his first CD, \u201cMemories\u201d, appeared in 1997, with the label RMS, Produc\u0327o\u0303es Musicais, an album that once again projected him among the most prestigious interpreters of Popular Music. Angolan.<\/p>\n

With the CD \u201cMemories\u201d, Carlos Lamartine starts a process of merging and modernizing his music, interacting with musicians from different schools, creating a musical product that reached considerable levels of acceptance among the younger generation.<\/p>\n

The song \u201cKamuine\u201d, from the CD \u201cCidra\u0301lia\u201d, 2001, was a huge success, and Carlos Lamartine gained great prestige, in the interpretation of themes from the popular songbook.<\/p>\n

Four years after the release of the CD \u201cCidra\u0301lia\u201d, the album \u201cFrutos do Cha\u0303o, sa\u0303oCOS OURS\u201d appeared in 2005.<\/p>\n

Carlos Lamartine is included in a collection of Angolan singers and composers, called \u201cE\u0302xitos de Hoje\u201d, 1980, published with the seal of ENDIPU. The last album goes by the title \u201cCaminhos Longos\u201d, edited and published in 2007.<\/p>\n

Former cultural attache\u0301 in the Federative Republic of Brazil, Carlos Lamartine is a retired member of the Ministry of Culture.<\/p>\n

He had several distinctions, such as the National Prize for Culture and Arts in the Music category, in 2017, and the Career Prize at the AMA (Angola Music Awards).<\/p>\n

The artist was also honored at the Festival da Canc\u0327a\u0303o de Luanda da LAC, in 2013, in an edition where the competitors interpreted themes of his authorship.<\/p>\n

Anto\u0301nio Miguel Manuel Francisco \u201cCalabeto\u201d, born in the province of Luanda, on April 3, 1945, began his activity in the Evangelical Mission, being part of the choir of that religious congregation.<\/p>\n

In 1958, he founded the Turma Rio de Janeiro. With a career that started in the 1950s, Calabeto has a repertoire in which several successful songs stand out, such as \u201cNzambi\u201d, \u201cNgolo Yami\u201d, \u201cAvante o Poder Popular\u201d, \u201cTussocana Kiebi\u201d, \u201cCamarada Presidente\u201d, \u201c Nguami Maka\u201d, \u201cVictory is Certain\u201d, \u201cNgui dia ngui nua\u201d and \u201cDivorce\u201d.<\/p>\n
