Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Angolan writer Bell Neto launched, Saturday, in Luanda, at the Union of Angolan Writers (UEA), her second children’s book, entitled “The Little Mona and the Tree of Rights”.<\/b><\/p>\n

It is a literary work of the short stories genre, inserted in the “Projecto Mona”, a poetry competition for children and young people that includes classes in literature, declamation and reading.<\/p>\n

The book has 32 pages, and tells the story of a village called Ngola, where children do not have their rights safeguarded.<\/p>\n

In the plot, according to the synopsis of the brochure, the writer resorts to the symbolism of a tree that little Mona, the main character of the story, spreads throughout the village.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, something very mysterious happened in Aldeia Ngola, the sun disappeared and the wind blew a secret into the air, triggering a series of questions.<\/p>\n

The particular fact that the sun leaves the village and leaves the children in darkness, forces little Mona and her grandmother, Lussassa, to try to discover this mystery.<\/p>\n

The author revealed, however, that the work was written with the double objective of drawing attention to children’s rights, as well as the preservation of the environment.<\/p>\n

Bell Neto underlined, on the sidelines of the autograph sale and granting session, that the book is a contribution to intensify relations between parents and children, creating a space for debates and approaches to current issues.<\/p>\n

“The Little Mona and the Tree of Rights” was published by “Livros Esfera Publicac\u0327o\u0303es” and has, in a first phase, 250 copies that are being sold at five thousand kwanzas.<\/p>\n

Known for her actions in the “spoken-word” movement, Bell Neto is inspired by her regular interaction with children, in the literary workshops she teaches, in order to be able to write for a younger audience.<\/p>\n

In addition to being a writer\/poet, she is a reciter. She has been writing since she was<\/p>\n

12 years old and believes that writing has made her an expressive woman concerned with providing playful stories.<\/p>\n

He has already participated in five poetic anthologies, namely Sexo e Comida (2012), Poemas de Berc\u0327o e outros Versos (2014), Borboletras (2018), Queda de Sile\u0302ncios (2021) and Luanda, Entre Fotos e-Textos-(2022).<\/p>\n

Bell Neto has a degree in Portuguese Language and Communication, and has social projects linked to female empowerment, children’s literature and inclusion.<\/p>\n

The declaimer and poet Bell launched in December 2022, at Mediateca de Luanda, the poem \u201cOutras: Formas de Po\u0302r na Grafia\u201d, as a commitment to other literary genres.<\/p>\n

Born in Luanda, the writer has a degree in Portuguese Language and Communication, and has social projects linked to female empowerment, children’s literature and inclusion.<\/p>\n
