Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The executive director of the Ngana Zenza Foundation for Community Development \u2013 \u200b\u200bFDC, Camilo Ceita, defends the need for more partnerships for the medium-term extension of the clinical carriage project to other railway lines in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

Camilo Ceita was speaking to the press on Saturday, on the sidelines of the start of the first consultations carried out in two clinical carriages of the Tata Uhayele Project, at Calenguer station, a remote village in the commune of Wiyangombe, municipality of Caimbambo, province of Benguela.<\/p>\n

This is a project conceived by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenc\u0327o, as president of the Ngana Zenza Foundation for Community Development \u2013 \u200b\u200bFDC, aimed at providing primary health care to vulnerable communities along the Benguela Railway.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Camilo Ceita made it known that the possible extension of the project to the Moc\u0327a\u0302medes (CFM) and Luanda (CFL) railways is, for now, a concern of the management of the Ngana Zenza Foundation.<\/p>\n

As these are costly projects, he stressed, the organization will mobilize resources with other interested partners, so that these railway lines can also benefit from this project, in the medium future.<\/p>\n

However, the person in charge implied that everything depends on the resources that will be mobilized together with the partners, as happened now at CFB, with the launch of the two clinical carriages.<\/p>\n

For this reason, it launched a challenge to interested companies for collaboration with the Ngana Zenza Foundation, as the Tata Uhayele Project is a way of bringing health to very distant communities.<\/p>\n

In his understanding, the circulation of clinical carriages means that vulnerable populations in rural areas have opportunities to access health care, similarly to urban areas.<\/p>\n

Still on the impact of these clinical carriages, the director of the Benguela Provincial Health Office, Anto\u0301nio Cabinda, made it known that, in addition to a great work in the community health promotion and disease prevention component, the project will also cover vaccination services .<\/p>\n

In this way, it foresees an increase in vaccination coverage in some remote locations in the interior of the province of Benguela, as well as the carrying out of screening campaigns and nutritional screenings.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, he said that the 27 professionals, including doctors, dentists, nurses, statisticians and laboratory technicians involved in the first trip, responded to the needs of patients in terms of consultations and complex tests.<\/p>\n

Within the scope of the Tata Uhayele Project, the clinical carriages aim to benefit communities confined to the railways, covering the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bie\u0301 and Moxico.<\/p>\n

Thus, the Tata Uhayele Project \u201cTake care of your health\u201d will contribute to the improvement of primary health care for children and adolescents in rural communities along the Lobito-Luau corridor.<\/p>\n
