Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes J\u00fanior, received, Tuesday (01), in Luanda, the German ambassador to Angola, Stefan Traumann, with whom he discussed the creation of a joint office to work on projects in the field of of hydrogen, to be presented in April this year.<\/b><\/p>\n

In addition to the issue of hydrogen-related projects, the economic relationship between the two countries was also addressed, with greater emphasis on the operationalization of the German-Angolan Hydrogen Office, called H2 Diplo, whose imminent entry into operation had already been previously communicated by the German diplomat to the President of the Republic, Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o, during the presentation of his credentials.<\/p>\n

According to a note from the German Embassy in Angola, the start of the “H2 Diplo” project is scheduled for the month of April, as part of the 1st German-Angolan Hydrogen Symposium, which will bring together specialists from the two states.<\/p>\n

According to the same note, by 2023, the two countries plan to hold several consultation meetings, in addition to studies, joint work and a process of training staff, to support the chemical industry that is intended to be created in Angola.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Stefan Traumann also highlighted the good economic relations between Germany and Angola, recently reinforced by the visit of the then Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, in 2020.<\/p>\n

According to the diplomat, many renowned German companies are already operating successfully in the country, especially in the energy and infrastructure sectors. “The two countries intend to expand their bilateral relations and promote German investments in Angola”, he guaranteed.<\/p>\n

For the implementation of the next steps, he said, the best instrument in the way of diversifying the Angolan economy is the German-Angolan Hydrogen Office, a structure that started its operation this year, under the leadership of the delegate of the German Economy in Angola, Vandr\u00e9 Spellmeier. .<\/p>\n
