Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Petro do Huambo and AS Santo Anto\u0301nio are the protagonists, this Tuesday, of the highlight game of the quarter-finals of the IV edition of the Child’s Cup, which includes the no less attractive JGM \u2013 Academia Estrela do Futuro.<\/b><\/p>\n

After the premature elimination of the winners of the last edition, played in 2019, the draw held on Monday night also reserves the matches between Rigeto FC – Esperance FC and AS Gratos do Sassonde – Bayern FC.<\/p>\n

It is the three-time champion, Sport Huambo and Benfica (Mambroa) and the third edition runner-up, Norberto de Castro, in addition to the non-participation of Vila Real do Sa\u0303o Joa\u0303o, third place, in 2019.<\/p>\n

Mambroa, inserted in series B of the tournament, opened on the 2nd of the current month, lost all the games in the group stage, two of them due to no-show, while Norberto de Castro, from group C, won one and lost others two.<\/p>\n

The last round of the group stage (3rd), whose games were played between Saturday and Sunday, recorded the following results:<\/p>\n

Group A: Academia Estrela de Futebol Estrela do Futuro 0x0 Gre\u0301mio FC and FC Sonho do Kakelewa A 2×4 Esperance FC.<\/p>\n

Group B: JGM 0x1 Rgecto FC and CD Ferrovia 3×0 Mambroa (Due to no-show).<\/p>\n

Group C: Norberto de Castro 0 x 2 Bayern FC and Sonho do Kakelewa B 0x4 AS Santo Anto\u0301nio<\/p>\n

Group D: A S. Gratos do Sassonde 7×2 Palanquinhas FC and Petro do Huambo 2×0 FC Block 7.<\/p>\n

O\u0301scar, from Academia Sport Santo Anto\u0301nio, tops the list of top scorers, with five goals.<\/p>\n

The children’s football tournament “Tac\u0327a Crianc\u0327as do Huambo”, reserved for the under-12s, an initiative of the Associac\u0327a\u0303o dos Amigos do Reggae de Angola (NARA), resumes three years after the last edition (2019), due to the implications of Covid-19. 19.<\/p>\n

The event, which ends on the 15th of the current month, is part of the celebrations of International Children’s Day (June 1st), with the aim of promoting exchanges between participants, making football popular and discovering new talents.<\/p>\n
