Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, reaffirmed today, in Soyo (Zaire), that the Angolan Government is following, with great attention and apprehension, the growing deterioration of peace and security in different parts of the planet, with emphasis on the African continent .<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the event alluding to the 47th anniversary of the Angolan Navy (MGA), marked this Monday (10), the Head of State said that the deterioration of peace, allied to terrorism and insurgencies of different motivations, threaten the populations and the fragile economies of African states.<\/p>\n

He noted that some of the immediate and most visible consequences of armed conflicts are, in addition to the high number of deaths, the appalling rate of internally displaced people, refugees in neighboring countries, emigrants manipulated by human trafficking networks, as well as the increase in hunger, poverty and misery.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe situation is not better in other parts of the world\u201d, said Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, who, in this particular, referred to the vulnerable situation in the Middle East, where the non-implementation of the United Nations resolutions on the need to create the State of Palestine to cohabit peacefully with Israel, has been aggravating the conflict.<\/p>\n
