Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola and Morocco signed, this Thursday (13th), in Rabat, a Cooperation Agreement on Technical Assistance Matters between the Capital Market Commission (CMC) and the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC).<\/b><\/p>\n

The new legal instrument, which aims to promote mutual cooperation within the framework of the development of the Capital Markets of both countries, was signed by the chairman of the Board of Directors of CMC, Edna Mascarenhas, for Angola, while Nezha Hayat, chairman of AMMC, made it for the Moroccan part.<\/p>\n

With this Agreement, the two States undertake to share information and experiences on Regulation, Financial Education and Supervision of Capital Markets, facilitating regular consultations and dialogues.<\/p>\n

The understanding will provide the parties with significant benefits in terms of promoting regulatory efficiency, transparency, integrity of the Securities Markets and other related investment products.<\/p>\n

Relations between Angola and Morocco date back to the 1960s. In the scope of cooperation, the two countries signed, in October 1988, the General Agreement on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, which allowed the holding of the first Session of the Joint Bilateral Commission, in the city of Rabat, in October 1989.<\/p>\n

The second Meeting of the Joint Bilateral Commission took place in Luanda, in November 2013.<\/p>\n

Angola and Morocco cooperate in areas such as education, agriculture, trade, among others.<\/p>\n
