Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Wholesale Price Index (IPG) in the country rose to 1.66 percent from May to June this year, an increase of 0.40% compared to the previous period and 0.51 percentage points lower compared to the same period of the year 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the year-on-year change in June stood at 15.58%, registering a drop of 11.64 percentage points in relation to that observed in the same period of the previous year.<\/p>\n

According to the document, the trend of year-on-year variation in the last three years until March is increasing, reversing its direction from April 2022.<\/p>\n

INE indicates that during the month of June 2023, the prices of national products increased by 2.29% compared to the month of May, with Section D – Manufacturing Industries having the highest price increase with 2.32%.<\/p>\n

The products that had the greatest price variation in this group were gasoline with 79.54%, powdered milk with 3.21%, roasted coffee with 3.16%, butter with 3.14%, corn flour with 3.08% , smoked catfish with 2.93%, soybean oil with 2.78%.<\/p>\n

The list also includes wheat flour with 2.69%, dried mackerel fish with 2.53%, bar soap with 2.48%, pork with 2.44%, frozen croaker with 2.30% , wine with 2.24%, brandy with 2.18%, offal with 2.00%, frozen horse mackerel with 1.68%, beer with 1.61% and frozen cachucho with 1.57%.<\/p>\n
