Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>-More than a thousand vendors in official markets in the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi, in Luanda, have started, since Friday, to formalize their economic activities, within the scope of the Program for the Reconversion of the Informal Economy (PREI) campaign that takes place a Nacional level.<\/b><\/p>\n

The reconversion action began with the insertion of 50 vendors, from the Kamba Dya Kizua market, who participate in a training action in the areas of entrepreneurship and financial education.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the National Coordinator of PREI, Paula Coelho, who was speaking about the training, said that the team is committed to training micro entrepreneurs with the aim of improving their businesses, as well as passing on information about the importance of paying taxes and the social security fee and then conclude with the microcredit design process.<\/p>\n

He said that at this stage, the work is being developed with the municipal administrations, having appealed to the fairgrounds, entrepreneurs and other economic agents to address the administrations for the formalization of the activity.<\/p>\n

The municipal administrator of Kilamba Kiaxi, Naulila Andre\u0301, said that the expectations of the implementation of the PREI in the municipality had already been met, since a considerable number of vendors enrolled in the program had been registered.<\/p>\n

In a very particular way, according to the administrator, the arrival of PREI at Kilamba Kiaxi, complements one of the phases of the process of ordering the markets that has been taking place in that area since the beginning of the year. “Since you are only entitled to formalize economic activity, whoever is in a space provided by the authorities”, she said.<\/p>\n

He explained that the local administration continues to develop the process of deactivating markets without conditions, since the beginning of the year, 2023, working on the registration of sellers and the rehabilitation of the oldest sales spaces.<\/p>\n

Kilamba Kiaxi, according to the person in charge, has markets that, despite the working conditions, are still empty, such as the markets of Fourteen, Sinha Moc\u0327a, Chapas Vermelhas, Cajueiros.<\/p>\n

The Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI) opens doors to entrepreneurs, to training in matters related to micro-business management, and also gives access to Social Security, micro-credit and the digital payment system via mobile phone.<\/p>\n
