Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola hosts, for the first time, in September, the 23rd Conference of Lawyers of Southern Africa, announced, in Caxito, the President of the Angolan Bar Association, during the inauguration of the provincial delegation of Bengo of that body.<\/b><\/p>\n

Lui\u0301s Paulo Monteiro said, Friday, that the country will host the 23rd SADC Conference “Lawyers”, an organization that brings together lawyers from the 16 countries of Southern Africa, where various problems related to the class in the region will be discussed.<\/p>\n

“It will be a conference with diversified themes, but it will focus on the advocacy that is exercised in each of the countries. Angola benefits from this, because it is part of the Lobito Corridor, a grand strategy project, which also includes countries like DRC and Zambia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The chairman considered the event important, stressing that it will allow lawyers in the region to present the work they have been doing, especially in the contractual aspect, since it is the lawyers who actually draw up the contracts.<\/p>\n

“These are countries with different languages \u200b\u200band realities, but they will be able to discuss the law of their regions, as it brings together 16 countries that annually hold conferences, but never organized any in Angola”, he considered.<\/p>\n

Lui\u0301s Paulo Monteiro assured that the Angolan Bar Association (OAA) is actively preparing for the event, and will have the institutional support of the Angolan Government.<\/p>\n

Bengo delegation<\/p>\n

The province of Bengo has, since Friday, a delegation of the Order of Angolan Lawyers (OAA), with 23 staff members who practice law. The inauguration of this unit will enable society to have greater support from the class in the protection of social and civil rights, argued Lui\u0301s Paulo Monteiro, considering that the facilities will allow for greater monitoring and more legal assistance to society in Bengo.<\/p>\n

“A citizen who needs a lawyer will be able to come to the Bar, anyone who has three minimum wages or less will be able to appeal to the Bar Association and will have free assistance, without paying anything, it is a measure that will help to solve the problems of the population,\u201d he assured.<\/p>\n

Lui\u0301s Paulo Monteiro’s visit to Bengo made it possible to gather, in Caxito, 8 delegates of the Order, to discuss the subject of guarantee judges in Bengo. According to the provincial delegate of Bengo, Bernardo Joa\u0303o, the province has a total of 23 lawyers and close to 50 trainee lawyers, through the National Access Examination, Dande is the only municipality that has a District Court, for him the exercise would be facilitated if in the Tria\u0302ngulo area and in Ambriz the district courts were also implemented.<\/p>\n

At national level, more than three thousand trainee lawyers were admitted, who, according to this year’s National Entrance Examination, are part of the Bar Association with the category of trainee lawyer.<\/p>\n
