Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Provincial Government of Moxico highlighted Sunday, in Luena, the historical and cultural legacy of Queen Nhakatolo Tchilombo, sovereign of the Luvale tribe, who died Saturday in Luanda, a victim of illness.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a condolence note, the Government of Moxico characterizes Nhakatolo as the holder of secular stories and a “deep knowledge” of the existing Luvale culture in Angola and in the Republic of Zambia, who knew how to preserve and transmit the values, traditions and the identity of its people.<\/p>\n

The note adds that the sovereign died at the age of 86 and was able to emerge as a wise woman, who contributed to the harmony and development of communities.<\/p>\n

In another written communication, the sovereign of the Lunda Ndembu tribe, Chinunke Mukanda Nkunda, also addressed condolences to the bereaved family, bowing down to the memory of Queen Nhakatolo, given her legacy.<\/p>\n

Government creates commission for burials<\/p>\n

The provincial governor, Ernesto Muangala, told the press that a local government commission has already been created that will work with the family to organize the funeral of the sovereign.<\/p>\n

He highlighted Nhakatolo’s participation in the civil education process of the \u201cBorn Free to Shine\u201d program, as well as in other social programs linked to the country’s reconstruction.<\/p>\n

The sovereign, who resided in the commune of Cavungo, municipality of Alto Zambeze, assumed the throne of the Luvale tribe in 2004, after succeeding Queen Nhakatolo Tchissengo, who died in 1992.<\/p>\n
