Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Minjud) congratulated the Angolan Leonel da Rocha Pinto for the election, on Tuesday, in Luanda, to the post of president of the African Confederation of Football for Amputees (CAAF).<\/b><\/p>\n

In a note , the governing body of national sport states that the triumph of nine votes against two of the opponent is the result of a status achieved based on the excellence of the work carried out, over the last few years, in the leadership of Sport. Paralympics in Angola and Africa.<\/p>\n

Minjud reiterates all its support for the newly elected (beat Peter Sarungi, from Tanzania in the race) and expresses total openness to a joint work in favor of the consolidation of football for amputees in Angola and in the African context, reads the communication.<\/p>\n

Elected for the 2022-2026 quadrennium, Leonel Pinto counts in his cast with Mustafa Usman, Cameroon (first vice president), Suleimah Isah, from Nigeria (second vice president), Peter Oloo, from Kenya (secretary general) and Khaled Eladl of Egypt (treasurer).<\/p>\n

Recently, the also president of the Angolan Paralympic Committee ceased to exercise the role of president of the African Paralympic Committee, under his leadership for three terms.<\/p>\n
