Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The projects for mass cycling and the difficulties that the modality faces in Angola, were made known Wednesday, to the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o.<\/b><\/p>\n

During a meeting with practitioners of the sport, the president of the Angolan Cycling Federation, Cremilda da Chagas Rangel, informed the Head of State about the annual plan for the sport, which aims to carry out, in October this year, the \u201cVolta Internacional Pepino \u201d.<\/p>\n

According to Cremilda Rangel, who was speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, the race will start in Huambo province, passing through Benguela and Cuanza Sul, ending in Luanda.<\/p>\n

He said that the occasion also served to inform President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o about aspects of Angola’s participation, in February this year, in Accra (Ghana), in the African Cycling Championship, where the national team came in fourth place, among 34 teams.<\/p>\n

According to Cremilda Rangel, there is recognition, on the part of those responsible for the African Cycling Confederation, that the Republic of Angola is in a position to host the continental championship of the sport, in 2024.<\/p>\n

The Head of State was also presented with the three national road champions, absolute and female.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the federative leader gave the President of the Republic souvenirs related to the modality.<\/p>\n
