Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC) is implementing an Acceleration Plan based on increasing credit coverage from 75 to 80 percent, creating four FGC branches nationwide and improving communication between commercial banks and promoters.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Credit Guarantee Acceleration Plan presented Friday, in Luanda, to the press, by the Board of Directors of the FGC, has 50 billion kwanzas as a result of the recent capitalization made by the Executive, within the framework of emergency measures aimed at stimulating the economy and boosting its potential.<\/p>\n

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FGC, Luzayadio Simba, said that 50 billion kwanzas had been capitalized, but the banks will be able to capitalize the economy with up to 200 billion kwanzas, four times more than the amount applied.<\/p>\n

He explains that the aforementioned value is aimed at stimulating the economy and empowering farming families and cooperatives, in ways to broaden the basis of the guarantees issued, in micro and small companies and in singular entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

“From the findings made over the 11 years of the FGC’s existence, most of the guarantees issued exceeded medium-sized companies and not micro and small ones, but the strategy is to leverage micro and small companies and individual entrepreneurs”, he said.<\/p>\n

As part of the expansion of the branches, which are expected to open later this year, according to the official, they will be implemented in the North, South and East regions, considered potentially agricultural, with Saurimo serving the provinces of Lundas Norte and Sul and Moxico.<\/p>\n

He informed that the province of Cabinda will have an FGC point, taking into account the specificity, characterized by the absence of land connection, while the region of Huambo will be responsible for serving the provinces of Bie\u0301, Cuando Cubango and Hui\u0301la.<\/p>\n

The administrator for the Business area, Eduardo Moamed, said that one of the objectives of the strategic acceleration plan is food security, which fundamentally involves simplifying the design of guarantees based on automating the approval of the guarantee by banks, from a level of credit granting that goes up to ten million kwanzas.<\/p>\n

The special plan for accelerating and promoting credit guarantees is nationwide and aims to engage a number of public and private institutions, aimed at boosting the promotion of bank credit for companies, through the automatic issuance of the FGC public guarantee, in order to, in an articulated and balanced way, stimulate the increase in national production.<\/p>\n

Particular attention will be given to young and women entrepreneurs, peasant families and informal entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

Its strategic objectives are food self-sufficiency, financial inclusion, reconversion of the informal economy, fight against hunger and poverty reduction.<\/p>\n

Strategies of action in line with its 2021 2025 strategic plan with national and international partners, Commercial banking in providing the business development support line which includes the automatic approval of the credit guarantee on financing of up to 10 million kwanzas, INAPEM will create partnerships in the formation of cooperatives and training of promoters, acceleration of company certification and support in the preparation of business plans.<\/p>\n

In this framework of partnerships, the AGT also stands out, which will participate in fiscal and financial education and in the increase of the fiscal literature of the beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

Angolan Universities are responsible for projects of academic empowerment and socio-economic integration of young students in internship programs in companies (clients, promoters with FGC guarantees and in the formation of cooperatives that will obtain credit guarantees.<\/p>\n
