Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Cultural agents from Cunene province were advised, this Friday, in Ondjiva, to present their works for the competition for the National Prize for Culture and Arts, 2022 edition.<\/b><\/p>\n

The challenge came from the jury member of the National Culture and Arts Prize, Abreu Paxe, during the meeting on Languages, Literatures and Arts and their relationship with interethnic cultural manifestations in Angola, aimed at local artists.<\/p>\n

He made it known that the prize covers all artists, as long as the works are new, hence the holding of meetings of the genres to publicize and awaken those interested.<\/p>\n

In turn, the head of the cultural action department in Cunene, Ade\u0301rito, Armando, highlighted the initiative of the Angolan State, which aims to encourage artistic and cultural creation, as well as scientific research.<\/p>\n

In Cunene province, 300 culture makers are controlled, including musicians, dancers, photographers, artisans, theater groups and event promoters.<\/p>\n

Since its creation in 2000, the National Prize for Culture and Arts has been awarded to 125 laureates, including creators and artists from the most diverse disciplines of the arts, artist associations, theater and dance groups, scientific research centres, writers, intellectuals, scholars, academics and professionals from different cultural manifestations.<\/p>\n
