Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The head of Angolan diplomacy, Te\u0301te Anto\u0301nio, is in the city of Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 to participate in the ceremony for the gradual transfer of the Rotating Presidency of the CPLP to the Democratic Republic of Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe, after Angola’s current mandate.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Ceremony for the Gradual Passage of the Presidency of Angola to the CPLP takes place on the eve of the XIV Conference of Heads of State and Government of the organization, which the Democratic Republic of Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe is expected to host on 27 August of this year.<\/p>\n

The Republic of Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe will succeed Angola in the rotating presidency of the organization, for a period of two years, with “Youth and Sustainability” being the theme that will mark the mandate of that Portuguese-speaking country for the biennium from 2023 to 2025.<\/p>\n

Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, Sa\u0303o Tome\u0301 and Pri\u0301ncipe and Timor-Leste are the nine Member States of the CPLP.<\/p>\n
