Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Nicaragua’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arlette Marenco, reiterated Saturday, in Managua, her country’s interest in opening an Embassy in Luanda and appealed to the Angolan government to do the same in the capital of this Central American country.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a note from the Angolan embassy in Cuba, the claim was transmitted to the Angolan diplomat in that country, Maria Ca\u0302ndida Pereira Teixeira, who is not a resident of Nicaragua, who worked for a few days in this region during which she held meetings with different Nicaraguan government entities within the scope of strengthening relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n

During her stay, Maria Ca\u0302ndida Pereira Teixeira was also received by the presidential advisor for the Promotion of Investments, Trade and International Cooperation, Laureano Ortega, to assess business opportunities and strengthen the partnership.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the diplomat took the opportunity to present the new business environment and a series of ongoing reforms in the country, which establish the general bases of private investment in Angola.<\/p>\n

Located between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, Nicaragua is a Central American country known for its impressive landscape that includes lakes, volcanoes and beaches.<\/p>\n

According to indicators, it is currently considered one of the most stable and secure countries in the region and one of the most important economies in Central America.<\/p>\n

This country is fundamentally agricultural, and the main export products are coffee, sugar, tobacco, beef, precious metals, among others, which have<\/p>\n

United States of America (USA), European Union and the region’s neighbors are the main economic partners.<\/p>\n

Diplomatic relations with Angola were formally established on September 6, 1979.<\/p>\n
