Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The secretary of the President of the Republic for the Productive Sector, Isaac dos Anjos, reiterated, this Tuesday, in the municipality of Chinguar, Bie\u0301 province, the commitment of the Executive in the field of agriculture, especially to peasant families, producers and the business class.<\/b><\/p>\n

The leader was speaking in a brief contact with the population of the village of Ganga, as part of his two-day visit to Bie\u0301.<\/p>\n

Isaac dos Anjos assesses what is being done, in the field of forests, by the Ministry of Agriculture, in partnership with the Social Security Institute of the Angolan Armed Forces (ISSFAA), in the municipalities of Catabola and Chinguar.<\/p>\n

The President’s secretary added that the Government’s support will continue to be in the distribution of agricultural inputs to peasant families, strengthening the local business sector, to join the Executive’s efforts in agricultural production and installation of industries.<\/p>\n

He also confirmed that the Government’s idea is to end food imports as quickly as possible, as the country’s soil is fertile for the production of maize, rice, reindeer potatoes, wheat, soybeans, cassava, among others.<\/p>\n

For this reason, he assured the authorities’ commitment to the rehabilitation of roads and secondary and tertiary routes, to facilitate the movement of people and goods.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted the commitment that peasant families in the municipality of Chinguar have been making, especially in the cultivation of wheat, reindeer potatoes, maize, vegetables, among others.<\/p>\n

In this sense, Isaac dos Anjos encouraged the peasants to continue with their commitment to agriculture, within the scope of reducing poverty and hunger among the populations.<\/p>\n

As part of his stay, this Tuesday morning, the secretary visited the Ganga forestry polygons, in Chinguar. In the afternoon, he travels to the forestry polygon of Belchior and to the center for seedlings, in the commune of Chipeta, in the municipality of Catabola.<\/p>\n

In this municipality you will also visit the mission of Chissamba.<\/p>\n

The delegation includes, in addition to the governor of Bie\u0301, Pereira Alfredo, the Secretaries of State for Forestry, Industry and Public Works.<\/p>\n
