Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa, considered, this Monday, African women, especially Angolan women, “warriors” and “protagonists of political and social transformations”.<\/b><\/p>\n

In a congratulatory message alluding to the African Women’s Day, which is celebrated, Esperanc\u0327a da Costa also considered the African woman protagonist of the economic and historical-cultural transformations in their communities.<\/p>\n

She highlighted the fact that African women remain determined in the fight for equality, respect and preservation of the family.<\/p>\n

“I address all the women of the cradle continent, especially the Angolan woman, to express my recognition and appreciation for all that they are and represent in this society in transformation”, reads in the document.<\/p>\n

The Vice-President of the Republic recalled that for 61 years, the African continent has celebrated this day, which, more than a commemorative date, opens space for reflection.<\/p>\n

It is a reflection “on how to remove barriers to favor their sustainable advancement in different areas of life and how to consolidate achievements achieved”, says the message.<\/p>\n

I wish all African women, continues the document, a happy African Women’s Day, hoping that success grows more and more and the achievements in the work, family and social space are consolidated.<\/p>\n

African Women’s Day is celebrated annually on the 31st of July. Its institutionalization dates back to 1962 at the Conference of African Women in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania.<\/p>\n

At the same Conference, the Pan-African Women’s organization was created.<\/p>\n

The date aims to praise women for their important role in preserving and transmitting civic values, as well as morals, as well as in strengthening the cohesion and unity of families, as the fundamental nucleus of society.<\/p>\n
