Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>An administrative complex made up of five four-storey buildings, which from now on will house nine provincial departments of the Government of Benguela, was inaugurated this Tuesday.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the infrastructure, with 40 apartments, will work the provincial directorates of Health, Education, Transport, Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland, Social Action, Family and Gender Equality, Records and Administrative Modernization.<\/p>\n

Likewise, it will host the provincial departments of Integrated Economic Development, Environment and Solid Waste Management, Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports.<\/p>\n

The ribbon cutting fell to the governor of Benguela, Lui\u0301s da Fonseca Nunes.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the official recalled that these departments do not work in decent conditions for a better provision of service to citizens.<\/p>\n

Lui\u0301s Nunes informed that the rehabilitation and equipping works of the complex were budgeted at 500 million kwanzas.<\/p>\n

Asked about the future of the old installations where these directorates operated, he explained that those that had been rented will be handed over to their owners, while those that form part of the assets of the Provincial Government of Benguela can be reclassified.<\/p>\n

According to the governor, the department that directs everything will do everything to continue to improve the provision of services to the people of Benguela.<\/p>\n

Public managers convinced of better service delivery<\/p>\n

Ka\u0301tia Cachuco, provincial director of Transport, said it was a relief for users who traveled 45 minutes to the city of Lobito to deal with certain documents.<\/p>\n

In his opinion, the new administrative complex will shorten distances and allow processes to be handled quickly.<\/p>\n

“Although the municipality of Lobito is strategic for Transport, this change will not pinch the administrative dynamics of the institution”, he considered.<\/p>\n

For the provincial director of Education, Edmundo Salupula, the new facilities, in addition to bringing more dignity to users, will influence greater work efficiency.<\/p>\n

Samuel Maleze, provincial director for Integrated Economic Development, explained that, before, the services in his area were shared and that now they are better articulated with the other areas of the Provincial Government.<\/p>\n

“The various licensing services, such as commercial, industrial, mineral resources, among others, will now be carried out in a single building”, he concluded.<\/p>\n
