Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The reading of the book \u201cMarinheiro de Terra Firme\u201d, by the Spanish writer Laia de Ahumada, marks today, at 2 pm, in Luanda, the return of the literary project \u201cContando Hist\u00f3rias\u201d, by the Brazil-Angola Cultural Center (CCBA).<\/b><\/p>\n

The initiative, which was suspended due to the pandemic, resumes in person and more than 50 children are expected, from three to 13 years old, with free access. The reading of today’s book, “Marinheiro de Terra Firme”, is done by Maria \u00c2ngela, an employee of the CCBA<\/p>\n

In addition to the in-person act, the project will also be shown on social networks, broadcast every Thursday, from 10:00 am, on the CCBA page on facebook.<\/p>\n

The director of CCBA, Marisa Cristino, told that she intends to bring children closer to literature, especially works of fiction, with the short stories sessions, aiming to stimulate their imaginary world, as well as the habit of reading.<\/p>\n

The book<\/b><\/p>\n

“Marinheiro de Terra Firme”, by Laia de Ahumada, is one of the titles of the Secretary of the Book and Reading of Brazil. With illustrations by Gemma Capdevila, the book tells the story of Jan, a young man who wants to discover the secrets of the land, after traveling by sea with his parents. The boy spends the day writing down some discoveries in his logbook, to the point of leaving childhood to enter the age of decisions early. The book is a brief and profound account, inspired by a real story, with alternating dialogue, written to create an approach to life in nature.<\/p>\n
