Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>A cooperation protocol, within the framework of reinforcing institutional capacities to assist the business class, was signed this Friday by the National Institute for the Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) and the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises of Mozambique (IPEME).<\/b><\/p>\n

The agreement foresees, among others, the strengthening of institutional competences to provide support to Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the various fields of their activity.<\/p>\n

On the Angolan side, the chairman of the Board of Directors of INAPEM (Angola), Joa\u0303o Nkosi, and on the Mozambican side, the director general of IPEME, Joaquina Gumeta, signed.<\/p>\n

At the end of the act, the PCA of INAPEM informed that the institute is, within the scope of a commitment that the Angolan Government signed with the African Development Bank (BDA), to trigger a process that aims to allow the development, in partnership with counterparts, actions with visibility.<\/p>\n

In this agreement, said the PCA, concrete actions were also defined, such as the possibility of training IPEME staff, supporting business promotion activities, taking Angola’s experience in the scope of reducing bureaucracy and certification of micro, small and medium-sized companies, in the light of of the law (Law 30\/11).<\/p>\n

The valorization of startups, which INAPEM has been developing, as well as the Service Made in Angola (SFA), which aims to enhance national production – an instrument recently publicly assumed that from the 1st of next month, within the scope of the purchase, companies should prioritize domestic production.<\/p>\n

“Mozambique has actions towards the process of valuing national production that INAPEM would not like to leave this initiative out”, said the manager, adding that the agreement signed friday is the result of work started in 2020.<\/p>\n

Joa\u0303o Nkosi stressed that the present protocol opens the door to other commitments at the level of the CPLP (Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries), or works that could also culminate in the signing of protocols.<\/p>\n

In turn, the director general of IPEME in Mozambique, Joaquina Gumeta, said that the protocol constitutes an added value because 99 percent of the economy of the two countries is ensured by micro, small and medium-sized companies.<\/p>\n

Joaquina Gumeta considered that one of the great similarities between the two countries is the fact that they have a high number of businesses to be developed based on informality. \u201cSo we joined synergies to assess and find out how we can reduce informality\u201d, he concluded.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can use synergies, regarding the legislation on micro, small and medium-sized companies, since Angola already has a Law on this, and Mozambique is working towards the same path\u201d, he advanced.<\/p>\n

Regarding the relations between the two peoples and governments, the director of IPEME was excellent, needing to raise economic and commercial relations to the level of political and diplomatic relations.<\/p>\n

Relations between Angola and Mozambique are based on the historic ties of friendship, fraternity and solidarity, forged during the struggle against Portuguese colonialism, which culminated in the Proclamation of National Independence of Mozambique, on the 25th of June 1975, and of Angola on the 11th. of November of the same year.<\/p>\n

It was under these circumstances that the two countries declared their mutual recognition as sovereign states.<\/p>\n
