Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The 85,000 homes, out of the 24 centralities built in the country, are fully sold, revealed this Friday the president of the Housing Development Fund (FFH), Hermenegildo Gaspar.<\/b><\/p>\n

At the moment, according to the manager, for the province of Luanda, the most populous in the country, with at least seven million inhabitants, the FFH no longer has apartments for sale, but is completing the delivery process, which started in 2016.<\/p>\n

Without specifying the number of apartments to be delivered, he said that the Fund is currently carrying out deliveries in Zango Zero (Luanda) and in the Centrality of Kapari (Bengo).<\/p>\n

Speaking at a meeting between the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves, and journalists, at the traditional \u201cPress Breakfast\u201d, Hermenegildo Gaspar clarified that the ongoing housing deliveries are aimed at candidates already enlisted in 2016.<\/p>\n

With regard to other regions of the country, the official said that the Fund has to deliver some houses in the centrality of Lubango (Hui\u0301la), whose number has not increased, and two thousand in the centrality of Bailundo, province of Huambo.<\/p>\n

At this time, two centralities are in the finishing phase in the provinces of Cabinda and Bengo, whose construction processes are under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing (MINOPUH).<\/p>\n

The construction of centralities in the provinces of Malanje, Cuanza Sul and Cuando Cubango is also planned.<\/p>\n

Vandalization of housing<\/p>\n

According to the person in charge, vandalism is a phenomenon that they recorded and most of the occurrences were in periods when the centralities were not yet under the management of the Housing Development Fund.<\/p>\n

The problem is seen as “very serious” and mainly affects five centralities in the country, namely Kapari, the two centralities of Namibe, Lobito and Baia Farta (Benguela).<\/p>\n

Rehabilitation work has already been carried out for the centrality of Kapari, with repairs being underway in the two centralities of Namibe, where there were 70 vandalized houses, 30 of which have already been handed over to their residents.<\/p>\n

The process of selling apartments in central areas began in 2012, in Kilamba, the largest housing project in the country with 20,000 apartments, corresponding to 710 buildings with four, eight and 12 floors (floors), of type T3, T3+1 and T5 .<\/p>\n
