{"id":41302,"date":"2023-08-05T18:28:12","date_gmt":"2023-08-05T18:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/government-draws-up-strategies-for-the-requalification-plan-of-the-city-of-huambo"},"modified":"2023-08-05T19:10:04","modified_gmt":"2023-08-05T19:10:04","slug":"government-draws-up-strategies-for-the-requalification-plan-of-the-city-of-huambo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\/all-news\/government-draws-up-strategies-for-the-requalification-plan-of-the-city-of-huambo","title":{"rendered":"Government draws up strategies for the requalification plan of the city of Huambo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola. <\/strong><\/span><b>Strategies for better implementation and application of the 203.7 million US dollars recently authorized by the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, for the requalification of the seat in the Central Plateau, were outlined this Friday in session local government ordinary.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The project, whose implementation value was authorized by the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, based on Presidential Order No. 149\/23, dated 26 June, is intended for the construction of structural roads with different levels of degradation, in a total length of 148 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>Gathered in the 3rd ordinary session, under the guidance of the governor of the province of Huambo, Lotti Nolika, the participants consider it important that the implementation of the plan, still without a start date, be comprehensive for all structuring routes, with a view to reducing the flow of vehicles in the city center and facilitate mobility in peri-urban areas.<\/p>\n<p>When intervening in the act, the director of the Infrastructure and Technical Services office, Francisco Neto, stressed that the vision of attacking the structuring roads served to maintain a solid base for, later, the province to intervene in the smaller sections, already taking advantage of the infrastructures that will be provided by this project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thought in the broadest sense of trying to relieve traffic in the middle of the city, via existing roads on the outskirts that, unfortunately, are not paved and others in urban and peri-urban areas that once had pavements in asphalt mats, but that due to the degradation caused by the rains and other factors ended up disappearing\u201d, he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the 148 kilometers of roads, in addition to asphalt, will be covered with integrated infrastructure such as sidewalks, public lighting, drainage and some technical gutters inside the roads for future installations.<\/p>\n<p>The 3rd ordinary session of the Government of the province of Huambo also evaluated the Project for the creation of Reference Schools (PSR) of a Presidential initiative, which essentially aims to provide schools with the means and all educational devices to improve their performance in the community, as well as responding to the challenges of technical training for teachers, school managers and the entire functional team of educational institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The director of the Education office in Huambo province, Ma\u0301rio Rodrigues, informed at the time that the project includes only two schools (Instituto Te\u0301cnico Agra\u0301rio and Polite\u0301cnico do Cachiungo), out of a total of 842 schools in the province.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official, the program also aims to give greater priority to the school&#8217;s organizational issues, with a focus on laboratory and teaching equipment, which is why it is hoped that it will be expanded to more educational institutions in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting also addressed the problem of the phenomenon &#8220;Children outside the education system&#8221;, the status of the anti-vectorial program, as well as the degree of implementation of the Integrated Plan of Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/angola\">Angola<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Angola.
