Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The national senior men’s basketball team lost this Saturday to host Jordania, by 56-70, in the second game of the international tournament “Tac\u0327a do Rei VI”, in preparation for the World Cup.<\/b><\/p>\n

In the opening, Friday, the African champions also defeated Mexico, by 76-78.<\/p>\n

The national five was already losing at half-time, by 23-35, in a test that takes place at the Prince Hamzi Hall sports complex, in Jordan.<\/p>\n

Despite the defeat, the Angolan base Childe Dunda\u0303o was the best scorer of the match with 18 points, followed by his opponent Fadi Ibrahim, with 15.<\/p>\n

Childe Dunda\u0303o (18 points), Gerson Domingos (05), Dimitri Maconda (04), Gerson Lukeny (05), Si\u0301lvio Sousa (04), Kevin Kokila (03), Jilson Bango (04), Joa\u0303o Fernandes (00), Bruno Fernando (03), Wilson Ambro\u0301sio (5), Leonel Paulo (00) and Teoto\u0301nio Do\u0301 (05).<\/p>\n

On Monday, Angola will face Portugal, at the close of the tournament.<\/p>\n

The event serves as a prelude to the World Championship, to be played from the 25th of this month to the 10th of September in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.<\/p>\n
