Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights launches, this Sunday, an auction of 108 vehicles and three boats seized under the judicially authorized asset recovery processes.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a note that, the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights justifies the auction as a process to avoid the deterioration of the referred means.<\/p>\n

The auction of vehicles and boats will take place at public auction, on the electronic platform of the General Tax Administration (AGT) www.leila\u0303o.agt.minfin.gov.ao, where thousands of taxpayers who can compete in the purchase are registered.<\/p>\n

According to the document, the Code of Criminal Procedure, in art.233, allows the advance sale of seized goods that are deteriorating.<\/p>\n

The process will take place gradually, with an auction of 33 vehicles scheduled for this first phase, in this case, Sunday 6th.<\/p>\n

Sales will take place from 9 am to 5 pm on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Next Sunday, the 13th of August, another 33 cars, 3 boats and the vehicles that are not auctioned on the 6th of August will be auctioned.<\/p>\n

On the 20th of August, 42 vehicles will be auctioned.<\/p>\n

During the process, the AGT system will determine the winners automatically without any human intervention.<\/p>\n

The winners of the lots will have 2 days to make the payment, under penalty of moving on to the second place and, successively, up to the fourth place.<\/p>\n

The proceeds from the sale will be kept under the order of the National Bank of Angola until the end of the criminal process.<\/p>\n

In the event of conviction, that is, if the loss of assets is declared in favor of the State, then the amounts saved resulting from the sale of vehicles will revert to the State.<\/p>\n

On the contrary, in case of acquittal of the defendant, the value resulting from the sale will be delivered to the defendant.<\/p>\n

The anticipated sale, in this specific case, will preserve the value of the asset, allowing that at the end of the process it will be possible to recover the value of the asset, according to the note.<\/p>\n
