Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Seven hundred and twenty-five thousand liters of smuggled diesel were seized in the province of Lunda Norte, by the National Police, as part of the “Raio X” operation.<\/b><\/p>\n

The information was provided Monday, by the technician from the Institutional Communication and Press office of the provincial command of the National Police in Lunda Norte, Alexandre Pereira, stressing that the fuel was destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).<\/p>\n

He said that the fuel was handed over to the General Tax Administration as a trustee, adding that in the same operation means of illicit diamond exploitation were seized.<\/p>\n

He stressed that 803 citizens of the DRC were also detained for illegally entering the national territory through the borders of Cuango, Caungula, Lo\u0301vua, Chitato and Cambulo.<\/p>\n

Operation \u201cRaio X\u201d aims to combat illegal immigration, exploitation and illicit trafficking in diamonds and fuel smuggling.<\/p>\n
