Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The steps taken around the youth program “Cidade Agro-pecua\u0301ria”, dominated the audience that the President of the Republic, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, granted this Monday to the leader of the National Youth Council (CNJ), Isai\u0301as Kalunga.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, the president of the CNJ, Isaias Kalunga, considered the audience an opportunity that served to present the vision of the Angolan youth at an economic, political and social level, having highlighted the youth program “Cidade Agro-pecua\u0301ria “.<\/p>\n

This is an initiative to support national production to be implemented in the country’s 18 provinces.<\/p>\n

The program is financed by the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA), in an amount of around 1.800 billion kwanzas and another 10 billion by the Angolan Investment Bank (BAI).<\/p>\n

The referred amount will be used for the construction of houses added to agricultural fields (10 hectares for each young beneficiary).<\/p>\n

On behalf of young people, he expressed satisfaction with the most recent measures adopted by the President of the Republic, such as the appointment of a new Minister of State for Economic Coordination, on whom hopes are placed in supporting the resolution of problems that afflict young people, such as more jobs .<\/p>\n

Alongside the leader of the CNJ, President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o received other representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations yesterday in Cidade Alta, within the framework of consultations with civil society institutions.<\/p>\n

In separate audiences, the Head of State also received representatives from the National Union of Angolan Students, the Union of Artists and Composers (UNAC), former Angolan students in Cuba, the provincial union of fair and informal trade workers ( groups together women from Zungueiras and from the Christian organization to support Community Development).<\/p>\n

In turn, the president of UNAC, Zeca Moreno, said that he had given the President of the Republic a dossier with nine points with proposals and some requests in favor of society and its members.<\/p>\n

In addition to social and economic aspects, the official pointed out the need to recover the Bullfighting building, in Luanda, an emblem of Luanda in a state of degradation<\/p>\n

For this property built in the 70s, UNAC proposes its recovery by the Executive, to serve local communities in the fields of music, theatre, cinema, visual arts and dance.<\/p>\n

The students also expressed to President Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o their concern about the process of detaching the land next to the University Campus of Camama, in Luanda, in addition to calling for the need for the conclusion of the works on that site.<\/p>\n

The issue of distribution of school lunches, school manuals and security in public schools were also presented to the President of the Republic during the audience.<\/p>\n

Former students in Cuba<\/p>\n

On behalf of the association of former Angolan students in Cuba, the holder of the Executive Branch received the vice-president, Jose\u0301 A\u0301lvaro, who spoke about the availability of the organization in favor of governance projects.<\/p>\n

Specifically, Jose\u0301 A\u0301lvaro presented proposals on the employability of students who graduated in Cuba in recent years in the areas of health, education and agriculture.<\/p>\n

“We left the meeting satisfied and noted that the President of the Republic dominates the issues addressed”, said Jose\u0301 A\u0301lvaro.<\/p>\n
