Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Angola was the fifth largest exporter to the United States of America in 2021, among the 36 African countries that benefit from preferential trade conditions under the Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA).<\/b><\/p>\n

Just after Angola are African countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana.<\/p>\n

US imports of African products under the Growth and Opportunities Act rose 59% last year, growing from $4.2 billion in 2020 to $6.7 billion in 2021.<\/p>\n

According to the Bloomberg financial information agency, quoted by Lusa, the volume of sales from Africa to the United States of America under this law grew from US$4.2 billion to US$6.7 billion in the last year, recovering in the face of the fall caused by the confinement measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Oil shipments more than doubled between 2020 and 2021, from US$703 million to US$1.9 billion, while non-oil trade rose 41%, from US$3.4 billion to US$4.8 billion. .<\/p>\n
