Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The extension of the Human Rights committees to the communes, across the country, are among the priorities of the national authorities, according to the Secretary of State for Human Rights, Ana Janua\u0301rio.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to the press in the city of Saurimo, at the end of the first visit to the bodies that make up the justice sector in Lunda Sul province, he reinforced that the purpose of this extension is to “give voice to communities and bring services closer together”.<\/p>\n

The official underlined that, for this purpose, the training of trainers and technicians who will ensure its operation, in partnership with the counterpart in Norway, is in the portfolio.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Ana Janua\u0301rio was satisfied with the working conditions made available to technicians, stressing that, however, some issues that concern the sector will eventually be resolved.<\/p>\n

As for the works in progress for the future installation of the Justice and Human Rights delegation in Saurimo, which began in 2012 and were paralyzed years later due to lack of funds, he said that this is a subject that will deserve special attention from the Ministry and the Provincial Government.<\/p>\n

The works are currently at an 80 percent physical completion, only lacking finishing and equipping.<\/p>\n

Ana Janua\u0301rio stated that in Lunda Sul there are no reports of human rights violations, which positively represents a gain for the sector.<\/p>\n

He also praised the behavior of the population that positively adhered to the massive campaign to distribute the Identity Card (BI) and other documents, for which reason, he encouraged the project to be carried out to allow more citizens to receive.<\/p>\n

The Secretary of State for Human Rights will remain in the region for four days, where seminars and lectures are planned for the population and the public.<\/p>\n

During her stay in Lunda Sul, accompanied by the acting governor, Cla\u0301udio Pemesssa, she visited the Justice office, General Hospital and various dependencies of the sector.<\/p>\n
