Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The coordinator of the North Judicial Region for the province of Zaire, Neto Joaquim Neto, repudiated, this Tuesday, in Mbanza Kongo, the behavior of many citizens who resort to social networks to denounce possible criminal acts allegedly committed by some figures public.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, at the end of a courtesy meeting with the governor of Zaire, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, the public prosecutor explained that complaints of possible crimes involving public entities must be reported to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and not on digital platforms.<\/p>\n

According to the person in charge, it is up to the PGR to act on the accusations, assess the constituent elements of the crime and, in the case of existence, to promote criminal proceedings against the accused, regardless of their social position.<\/p>\n

“Even if citizens make a complaint on social networks about a possible crime committed by this or that public figure, it is up to the PGR to investigate and determine the subsequent steps of the process”, he clarified.<\/p>\n

He recalled that all citizens enjoy the preservation of their image, good name and reputation in obedience to the principle of presumption of innocence.<\/p>\n

He added that Angola is an inclusive country, where citizens, regardless of skin color, origin and political ideology, should honestly contribute to the sustainable development of the nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefamatory and misleading publicity only aims to tarnish the good name of some entities\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Attorney General of the Republic is on a three-day working day in Zaire province, during which he will find out about the functioning of the bodies involved in the administration of justice in the region.<\/p>\n

The program also reserves visits to the premises of the PGR, the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) and the Nkiende prison, located 30 km from the city of Mbanza Kongo.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the coordinator of the Northern Judicial Region of Zaire province, worked in the municipalities of Nzeto and Tomboco, with the same purpose.<\/p>\n

A visit to the Frei Giorgio Zulianello center for children with special needs and a meeting with the court officials are also part of the magistrate’s agenda.<\/p>\n
