Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Presidents of Namibia, Hage Geingob, of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, of the DRC, Fe\u0301lix Tshisekedi, and of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, are since this Wednesday in Luanda, for the 43rd Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and of Government of SADC, which Angola hosts on Thursday.<\/b><\/p>\n

Also before this Statesman, the vice-president of Tanzania, Philip Mpango, landed at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport.<\/p>\n

Until 20:00, the arrival of the Mozambican Heads of State, Filipe Nyusi, from Botswana, Mokgweetsi Masisi, from Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera, and from Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, is expected.<\/p>\n

According to the program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vice President of the Seychelles, Ahmed Afif, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of Mauritius, Alan Ganoo, and the representative of the President of the Comoros, Azali Assoumani.<\/p>\n

During the Summit, the Angolan Head of State, Joa\u0303o Lourenc\u0327o, will assume the rotating leadership of the organization, for the 2023\/2024 term, replacing the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Fe\u0301lix Tshisekedi.<\/p>\n

Among other matters, the report of the President of the Body for Cooperation in Politics, Defense and Security will be presented at the session, as well as the implementation of the Strategic Indicative Plan for Regional Development 2020-2030.<\/p>\n

The event takes place under the theme \u201cHuman and Financial Capital: The Main Drivers for Sustainable Industrialization in the SADC Region\u201d, and will also focus on the Industrialization Roadmap 2015-2063.<\/p>\n

This Wednesday is reserved for the meeting of the SADC Troika, the body in charge of peace, defense and security issues, which will analyze the situation of political stability and security in the region.<\/p>\n

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is an inter-governmental organization, created in 1992, and dedicated to cooperation and socio-economic integration in the region, as well as cooperation in matters of politics and security.<\/p>\n

The community comprises Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n
