Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The Provincial Governor of Cuanza Norte, Pedro Makita Armando Ju\u0301lia, Saturday expressed the openness of the Provincial Government to the continuous consultation of the social problems of the youth.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the ideas and suggestions forum, promoted by the JMPLA Provincial Secretariat, in Ndalatando, Pedro Makita Armando, said that he hopes to have the contribution of young people in carrying out actions aimed at local development.<\/p>\n

In his lecture, the official indicated that the province has listed, for the five-year period 2022-2027, 801 public investment projects, of which 428 at local level and 327 at central level.<\/p>\n

These actions, he continued, cover projects from the Public Investment Program (PIP) and Integrated Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), some ongoing and others paralyzed, due to the country’s current economic situation.<\/p>\n

For this year 2023, he informed, 86 actions are planned, with a budget of 27.5 billion kwanzas, 75 of which are local and 11 are central.<\/p>\n

Of this amount, added the governor, 18 billion kwanzas have already been invested, corresponding to 84% of the planned budget.<\/p>\n

In elucidating young people, the governor pointed out, as priority sectors, education, with 29 schools and 308 classrooms under construction, followed by health with seven projects, four of which are in execution and three have already been completed.<\/p>\n

Actions also include equipping health units with RX equipment, clinical analysis laboratories and other equipment.<\/p>\n

He also pointed out the commitment of the local government to strengthening and improving the water supply to towns and municipal headquarters, in addition to the construction of 450 social houses in the municipality of Cazengo (provincial headquarters).<\/p>\n

The participants requested more interaction with the government for the dissemination and clarification of investment actions aimed at improving and increasing basic essential services, above all, in the sectors of education, health and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The forum also addressed the themes \u201cThe Benefits of the Constant Public Services of the SIMPLIFICA Program and \u201cThe National Youth Plan in the Context of Cuanza Norte\u201d.<\/p>\n
