Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The customs office in Dundo, province of Lunda Norte, forecasts tax revenue of over 500 million kwanzas at the border of Tchicolondo, located in the municipality of Cambulo.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Tchicolondo border, between Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is the second largest in the country, in terms of revenue collection, after Luvo, and is responsible for 50 percent of tax revenues in the province of Lunda Norte.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, the head of Dundo’s customs delegation, Joa\u0303o Miguel, made it known that until July, tax revenues collected at that border, through trade, were above 160 million kwanzas.<\/p>\n

He said that construction material, wheat flour, sugar, cooking oil, plastic and agricultural products are the products most sold in Tchicolondo, which is why 60 trucks are registered every month, with more than a million tons of goods.<\/p>\n

He said that Angolan traders export their products to the provinces of Kassai, Kassai Central and Lualaba (DRC).<\/p>\n

Until March of this year, the AGT target pointed to a collection of seven billion kwanzas in all tax offices in Lunda Norte, against the six billion in 2022.<\/p>\n

Over the last two years, AGT raised 18.8 billion kwanzas, amounts that exceeded the planned targets, which were 8.6 billion kwanzas.<\/p>\n

The highest collection was recorded in 2022, a total of 9.7 billion Kwanzas.<\/p>\n

Currently, the province of Lunda Norte has three tax collection posts in Chitato, Lucapa and Cuango.<\/p>\n
