Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Around a kilometer of streets in the TGFA neighbourhood, on the outskirts of the city of Soyo, province of Zaire, will begin to be paved over the next few days, as part of the program for the second phase of urban roads underway in the region.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking this Monday, the deputy municipal administrator for the technical area, infrastructure and community services, Adelino Nkai, underlined that the work, which started at the beginning of this month, is the responsibility of the construction company Grupo 7 Cunhas and will last for of five months.<\/p>\n

According to the person in charge, at the moment, the work consists of compacting the soil with gravel, as well as building sidewalks, hydraulic passages and drainage ditches for the disposal of rainwater and wastewater.<\/p>\n

He informed that the contract covers the street of the municipal football stadium, passing through the local command of the national police to the street of the Sagrada Esperanc\u0327a clinic.<\/p>\n

Since July last year, when the second phase of the urban roads program began, he said, three kilometers of streets in some peripheral districts of the city of Soyo have been paved.<\/p>\n

These are the streets from the roundabout from the old power station to the old municipal market, in the Kintundi and Nona neighbourhoods, respectively.<\/p>\n

The urban roads program covers the six municipal seats in the province of Zaire, whose financial support is ensured by a line from the Kingdom of Spain valued at US$80 million.<\/p>\n

In addition to paving the main roads of the municipal seats of Mbanza Kongo, Soyo, Cuimba, No\u0301qui, Tomboco and Nzeto, the program also reserves the construction of infrastructures in the sectors of education, health and housing.<\/p>\n
