Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The municipality of Icolo e Bengo, 62 kilometers from the center of Luanda, will host, from October 4th to 8th this year, the II National Youth Festival,Monday.<\/b><\/p>\n

The event, which henceforth becomes annual, 20 years after the first edition took place in Malanje province, will bring together around 500 young people from 18 provinces in Icolo e Bengo.<\/p>\n

The Festival will also have the participation of 17 delegations of young people from the diaspora, with emphasis on those from the Communities of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).<\/p>\n

According to the president of the National Youth Council (CNJ), Isai\u0301as Calunga, this event will bring together numerous activities, including fairs, with a demonstration of agricultural production in each province, lectures, youth debates, conferences, sports activities, visits to historic sites and cultural musician shows.<\/p>\n

The youth leader provided this information at the end of a visit that aimed to assess the capacity and conditions of the five risortes where the delegations will be hosted, with the support of businessmen and the municipal administration of Icolo e Bengo.<\/p>\n

“The five spaces visited in Icolo e Bengo offer excellent conditions, with rooms and the necessary catering services”, he stressed.<\/p>\n

Isai\u0301as Calunga underlined that the preparatory work is proceeding at a good pace and the Festival will be a space for interaction, entertainment, knowledge and integration of the Angolan youth, with a view to an effective participation in the activities of around 25 thousand people.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the working visit, Isai\u0301as Calunga inaugurated, together with the municipal administrator of Icolo e Bengo, the premises of the Municipal Youth Council, in the centrality of 44.<\/p>\n

The infrastructure is equipped and able to provide the steering committee with a healthy working environment.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the president of the CNJ praised the commitment of the municipal administrator of Icolo e Bengo, Nelson Funete, who provided the organization with the facilities, whose mission is to facilitate young people in solving their problems.<\/p>\n

For his part, Nelson Funete was pleased with the choice of the municipality to host the II National Youth Festival.<\/p>\n

“For us it is a gain to carry out this activity that will elevate our municipality to the capital of Angolan youth during the event”, he said, guaranteeing that everything is being done for the success of the event.<\/p>\n

The National Youth Council controls 849 youth associations across the country.<\/p>\n
