Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Gross credit to the non-financial sector amounted to AOA 5.72 billion in July this year, an increase of Kz 883.71 billion (18.27%) compared to the month of June.<\/b><\/p>\n

Of the gross credit granted by banks to the non-financial sector, 89.25% represents private sector indebtedness and 10.75% was contracted by the public sector, or seha, public administration and public companies.<\/p>\n

According to the statistical report on the credit of the National Bank of Angola (BNA) this Tuesday, the debt of the non-financial public sector totaled 615.33 billion kwanzas.<\/p>\n

Private sector debt (private companies and individuals) increased by 657.87 billion kwanzas (14.79%), rising from 4.45 billion kwanzas in July 2022 to 5.11 billion in July this year.<\/p>\n

Of this amount, Kz 3.86 billion corresponds to the indebtedness of private companies and Kz 1.25 billion to individuals, with an increase of AOA 334.39 billion.<\/p>\n

Credits within the scope of Notices<\/p>\n

In the period under review, gross credit granted within the scope of BNA Notices for the promotion of the real sector totaled 944.51 billion kwanzas, which corresponds to 71.18% of the total credit made available to the sector .<\/p>\n

Compared to the same period last year, there is a higher value of 324.35 billion kwanzas (52.30%), an increase influenced by the agriculture sector, animal production, hunting, forestry and fishing, with emphasis on culture and sugarcane derivatives.<\/p>\n

In the same period, mortgage loans totaled AOA 250.20 billion, of which AOA 53.02 billion were granted under Notice 09\/2022, of April 6, representing 21.19% of the total amount.<\/p>\n
