Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>The first secretary of the MPLA in Huambo province, Lotti Nolika, defended, this Thursday, the need for party members to undertake greater dynamism and vitality in the social organizations of the party.<\/b><\/p>\n

The party was speaking at the V extraordinary plenary session of the Provincial Secretariat of the OMA, which served to inform the decision taken by the MPLA Political Bereau, expressed in resolution n-01\/BP\/2023 on the cessation of commandments, in the local case, of the secretary of the organization, elected deputies to the National Assembly, in the general elections of 24 August 2022.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, Lotti Nolika referred to the challenges arising from the profound changes in the political, economic and social life of the country, which demands greater responsibility from the MPLA, as the leading political force of the Nation and whose functioning depends, considerably, on the strength, dynamism and vitality of all its social organizations.<\/p>\n

He said that the Organization of Angolan Women (OMA) \u201cis without a doubt, an unquestionable force for the challenges of the present and the future, for this reason, it becomes imperative to have in its leadership structures and staff available, competent , committed and creative”.<\/p>\n

As for resolution n-01\/BP\/2023 on the termination of office, the first secretary of the MPLA, recalled that the party intends to guarantee a regular stay of all deputies in the National Assembly, both in plenary meetings and in committees of work, especially, among other activities of this organ of Sovereignty.<\/p>\n

In this sense, he appealed to the OMA militants for a better appreciation and application of the documents presented at the meeting, guaranteeing, in this way, stability in the organization’s continuous action and mobilization of women to the party’s ranks.<\/p>\n

In turn, the executive secretary of OMA in Huambo, Dolina Nassoco\u0301pia Miguel Tchinhama, said that she will be replaced from this position, next September, during an extraordinary provincial assembly, and that, at the moment, they are mobilized in the choice of a candidate who can give continuation of the work begun.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the fight against illiteracy among women, encouragement and support for entrepreneurial women and the continued mission of mobilizing more militants for the party, essentially as the main challenges facing OMA in this region of the country.<\/p>\n

OMA was created in 1962 in Leopoldville, present-day Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) by a group of Angolan women, affiliated to the philanthropic association called Kudiango\u0301.<\/p>\n
