Africa-Press – Angola. <\/strong><\/span>Winning spirit and bravery was (Thursday), in Luanda, recommended to the National Junior Women’s Handball Team, with a view to the African Championship to be held from September 7th to 14th, in Monastir, Tunisia.<\/b><\/p>\n

The recommendation is from the Secretary of State for Youth, Francisco Boaventura Chitapa, at the ceremony for handing over the Flag of the Republic to the African champions, at the Sports Gallery, at Cidadela Desportiva.<\/p>\n

The official recognized that Angola’s participation in the African championship is not an easy task, but he believes that the bravery of the athletes on the field and the will to win will help to overcome the challenges in the competition.<\/p>\n

He reiterated that he is absolutely certain that the title revalidation will not be easy, foreseeing the need to sweat the shirt and fight until the end.<\/p>\n

\u201cTake the Flag and the name of Angola, representing with dignity, with humility, with a good example and bravery, because we expect another title\u201d, he stressed.<\/p>\n

In turn, the captain of the National Team, Lilina Ma\u0301rio \u201cLili\u201d, on behalf of the group, undertook to bring the 30th edition of the African Junior Championship to Angola.<\/p>\n

The athlete stressed that she is aware of the difficulties they will encounter in the competition, since all the opponents will be willing to take the title from Angola.<\/p>\n

“With a lot of sacrifice and dedication, we guarantee that we will do everything to leave the scent of Angolan handball on the field, raising the cup and singing the anthem of the Republic of Angola very loudly”, she reiterated.<\/p>\n

Angola is in Group A with Guinea, Co\u0302te d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya.<\/p>\n

The African champion of the category has registered 10 achievements in 16 participations.<\/p>\n
